"CHUCK GIRARD" by Chuck Girard
Comments:
"After the group LOVE SONG disbanded in 1974, I was faced with the challenge of crossing over from the identity of being a member of one of the most popular groups in CCM, to establishing my own image as a solo artist. I knew the first album would be critical, and decided to play it safe by selecting songs that had no confrontational lyrics, positive and upbeat music and messages. This is not my normal instinct, but I realized that there is a delicate balance between the economics and aesthetics of making music that had to be considered: albums must sell in order to make more albums. The album sold well right from the start, and with the added success of the song "Sometimes Alleluia" accomplished all that I intended both spiritually and practically. It is a thrill to see the album re-released and finally on CD. Pray for "Written On The Wind" and "Glow In The Dark" to follow soon"(Chuck Girard)
